It is in this context that we recently had the pleasure of welcoming two motorcyclists who came straight from England. Their objective? To attend the races on the legendary circuit, but also to enjoy the beauty and authenticity of the Chimay region.
During their stay, these enthusiastic travelers were able to combine their passion for mechanics with the discovery of a welcoming region. For several weeks, our village of Lompret , a stone's throw from Chimay , has been equipped with magnificent panels illustrating labeled villages from all over the world. From Japan to Italy, via Morocco, this exhibition highlights the architectural, cultural and landscape richness of unique places, all classified for their beauty and authenticity.
Organized by the association Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie, this traveling exhibition is stopping in our village this summer, and we had the pleasure of actively contributing to it as local stakeholders.

Through this exhibition, it is alsoLompret and its surroundings are highlighted: its limestone buildings, its calm, its surrounding nature... The village, already appreciated for its charm, is discovered here in a new light.

Since July 2024, many visitors have stayed with us , in search of peace, nature and authenticity. Nestled in the heart of Lompret , a stone's throw from Chimay , our rural gîte has welcomed families, couples, friends - all coming to experience a revitalizing break in a green setting.
Every word left in our guestbook, every smile upon departure, every little moment shared brings the soul of the place to life. And that is our greatest reward.

Available in four languages (French, English, Dutch, and German), this forty-page booklet has been designed to accompany travelers throughout their stay.
It provides practical information about the gîte, an overview of the history of the place and the village, as well as a selection of local addresses: restaurants, producers, activities and walks in the surrounding area.
The objective is simple: to allow visitors to quickly feel at ease, to discover the riches of the region and to fully enjoy their stay in Lompret, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia.
